Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
- Step 3: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and pour the marinade evenly over the fillets. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
- Step 4: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Step 5: Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy your delicious baked Asian salmon!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store any leftover baked salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- When reheating, place the salmon in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to keep it moist and avoid drying out.
- Serve your baked Asian salmon over a bed of steamed jasmine rice or alongside sautéed vegetables for a complete meal that balances flavors beautifully.
- To elevate the dish, consider adding a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top before baking for an extra crunch and nutty flavor that complements the marinade perfectly.
