Indulge guilt-free with Low Calorie Frozen Banana Snickers! Creamy peanut butter meets sweet banana, draped in rich dark chocolate. Follow our easy steps for a nutritious treat that delights!

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (preferably sugar-free)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts
  • A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Begin by peeling the ripe bananas and slicing them into thick rounds, about 1 inch thick. Arrange the banana slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  2. Step 2: In a small mixing bowl, combine the natural peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth and well blended. You can microwave the mixture for about 10 seconds to make it easier to stir.
  3. Step 3: Using a spoon, dollop a small amount of the peanut butter mixture onto each banana slice. Top half of the slices with another banana slice to create little banana sandwiches.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Step 5: Dip each banana sandwich into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle crushed peanuts and a pinch of sea salt on top if desired.
  6. Step 6: Once all banana sandwiches are coated, place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until fully frozen. Serve straight from the freezer for a delicious low-calorie treat!

Notes

  • For optimal freshness, store your Low Calorie Frozen Banana Snickers in an airtight container in the freezer to prevent freezer burn and keep them tasting great.
  • These treats are best served straight from the freezer; however, if you prefer a softer texture, let them sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before enjoying.
  • For an extra touch, consider serving your banana Snickers with a drizzle of melted dark chocolate or a sprinkle of sea salt for added flavor contrast.
  • To make the chocolate coating easier to work with, ensure the chocolate and coconut oil mixture is thoroughly melted and smooth before dipping the banana sandwiches, as this will create a more even coating.
